It is completely normal to not feel hunger.  You definitely want to make sure you get your protein in - and that counts towards your water/fluids for the day.  I remember how hard it was in the beginning, but it does get easier.

Topic: Strange feeling
So I am on my 5th day post op and had to ask if I am weird or something.  Since the surgery 5 days ago, I don't "feel" hungry, I think of food but thats about it.  I don't really want anything throughout the day, because I am not feeling hungry so...am I broken? lol  Should I try to drink my protein shakes even though I am "satisfied" with jus****er?  It's the weirdest sensation ever not to really feel "hungry" other then head hunger.  I've been doing great drinking water, but then I feel too full to try to drink a protein shake  because the "fullness" of the water lasts so long.  Maybe I gotta just get my timing down :)  any thoughts?

Topic: Introducing Band Adjustment Tracker!
Tracking band adjustments just got easier.

Today we will be releasing ObesityHelp's new Band Adjustment Tracker. In just THREE easy steps you can record your band fills with ObesityHelp's new Band Adjustment Tracker!

1. Set your surgery date
2. Set your initial band volume at surgery
3. Then every time you have a fill adjustment
       - Enter the adjustment Volume
       - Select your Satiety & Satiation level
       - Leave any special notes about the fill that you want to remember

You can also easily create and download a spreadsheet report of your Band Adjustment data that can be printed or emailed. This is not only a great tool for monitoring the impact of your Band Adjustments, but also to discuss your progress at your next doctor appointment. Don't forget that ObesityHelp also makes it easy to track your Body, Nutrition and Activity information all in one place!

If you need help using the Band Tracker or just want to check out what it will look like once it is release, click here to check it out.

Someone here on the board (Tracy...) told me about SF cheesecake instant pudding, mix it with greek yogurt and some milk. Very good.

Hi everyone,  I am 6 days into my pre-op fast and, while it is not the most fun thing I have ever done, it is way not as bad as I expected it to be.  Boredom has set in though so I looked for something different and came up with strawberry lemonade!  I mixed strawberry instant breakfast and lemonade crystal light.  It is really good!
Does anyone else have ideas for new tastes?   Please share.

Good luck to you!  I wish I were that far into the program!  On Saturday I started my food logging, which I have to do right up until surgery.  I am opting fot the gastric bypass.  I hope the time flies from now till the 16th!!!  Best wishes!

This is the first day of the pre-op diet.  I get banded on the 16th.  WOOT!  Super excited.  The plan is to have the surgary spend the night in Gorham and then go to Northport to stay with my parents for a week to recoup without all the craziness of where I live.  (I live in a residence hall).  Cant wait!
