It's the weirdest thing, after I finish eating and sometimes during eating my cheeks get very flush/red.  People keep commenting on it, asking if I feel ok, etc. and other then the redness not much else happens.  Sometimes I feel nauscious with it but not everytime.  I look like Santa Clause lol

Im feeling pretty good today.  I had some tuna for lunch.  Chewed and chewed.  Sooo good.  I have a craving for fast food every once in a while but when i really think about eating it Im too full and it kind of makes me sick to my stomach.  So I guess thats good.  Not really hungry yet.  Things are healing pretty well.  A little painful to move around where the port is but not too bad.

So i am down 7 pounds since surgery and 26 since the beginning of the process.  Woot!

I looked in to the surgery 10 years ago, got scared and backed out.  After I had it done, I wished I'd had it ten years ago... Best of luck.

I think we are all scared at one point or another.  Just remember why you are doing this.......to get healthy!  The risks aren't any greater than with any other type of surgery.  If you know that the surgery will help you, just do all your research, ask a bunch of questions, and learn everything that you can.  Knowledge will help calm some of your fears...........there are plenty of wonderful people on here who have walked in your shoes and know how you are feeling (I'm one of them!)  We'll do our best to answer your questions.
Dr L is great....as is his staff.
I am over 2 years out from the lap RNY with Dr Loggins and I wouldn't go back for ANYTHING!  It's worth it............at least in my opinion!
Keep investigating........join us for support group meetings, too, if you'd like.  There are usually some post-op people at the meetings who can help with your questions and fears too..........just gotta ask the questions......
Be strong if this is what you want and need..........you can do it!
Keep us posted!

Good luck with your surgery on Monday.  You WON'T be hungry after surgery.  You may have some head hunger, but your stomach will not feel the hunger like it does now.  Most people don't believe that, but, for most people, it's true.

The worst pain for me was the pain from the gas they pump your belly up with.  Walking is the best way to get it moving.  Try not to stress too much.  You'll have a pain pump while you are in the hospital and liquid pain meds for at home.  I only used the meds at home the first night, then I never took them again.

Just try to relax and breathe............You're in great hands!

Keep us posted on your progress!

Topic: Surgery Monday

My surgery date is scheduled for this coming monday. I am scared out of my mind, but also excited at the same time. I can't help but worry about the diet stages going into this because I am ALWAYS hungry. I can not image that I am not going to be hungry or that protien drinks are going to fill me up. Pain is the thing i am affraid of most, I do not want to be in a lot of pain. any advise I just want to  have this with no complications EVER
