Slow and steady is the way to go.  It's great to have goals, but they can be adjusted if you need to!  just keep on working your tool and it will work for you!  Congrats on you progress so far!!!

well first of all just want to say hope eveyone had a great holiday weekend. I know I did. the first time I could actually do what everyone else did (exept pig out lol).
my new me starts with my 23rd birthday dec 11, 2009 the day I had my surgery from there everything started good then I had to have my gahllblader removed. after that Its been smooth sailing. besides a few stalls here and there over all ive lost over 100lbs.

since I have started to feel better I have figured what I want to do with my life and am taking High school Chem and Bio classes this summer so I can start college to get my RN in the fall. Im so excited. this month celebrates my daughters 3rd birthday. wich we are having a huge family and friends get together at the local ymca. its going to be a princess party. I have also started a new job as a cna. I love my clients. and all my new friends from work and school cant beleive that I used to be a 100+lbs.
my life has made a complete turn around and I feel wounderful I am so Happy that I was given a second chance at life.
hope everyone is well

I wanted this 2 weeks ago, but I figure I am still doing okay :) I stalled for a couple of weeks and really stepped up my exercise, and now I am down 102.6 post-op . . . which is about what I have left to lose to get to good weight. I know I will have to work to get that far, but I am excited. Another couple of pounds and I will weigh less than I have in my adult life! (Oh, and since I said that, I should also giggle that I was carded the other day at age 45, which was ridiculous, but it still feels good :)  )

I guess I won't make 120 pounds by 6 months out, but I will settle for whatever else I can get. I like it when the scale moves downward, even if it just inches down!

There is one person on this board who had VSG and is waiting for a revision. I met another person in support group who was doing a revision. Unfortunately most of what I have heard isn't all that positive. A friend of mine from another support group has a sister and mother who both did it and gained most of the weight back, she herself did the lapband and then revised to a DS.  Sometimes, though, I think it can be easier to here the bad stories. I would think that a positive with the VSG is that if you do stall you can fairly easily convert to a DS and continue the loss.

You're doing great and don't be upset if the weight loss starts to slow, hopefully it won't.

Hi all, hope everyone is doing well, I don't get on here nearly as often as I did in the beginning of this adventure but I think of you all often.  I'm doing well, I'm down about 48 lbs since my surgery April 26th, only 2 lbs till I'm at my halfway point, that is exciting!  I still can't imagine I'll ever get below 200, it's been forever, but I do trust the process.  I went on a mini shopping spree a couple of weeks ago and now have clothes that fit, yay.  My pants are almost all 16's with a few baggy 18's thrown in, and my tops are XL, this is a big deal considering I was wearing XXL or 22/24 tops when I started this journey.  I shopped at Kohl's and Macy's and JC Penney, just like a "normal" person, it was great.  Of course I also see how far I have to go but I'm trying to celebrate all the good stuff along the way.  I went to the beach yesterday and wore a bathing suit that didn't make me want to hide for the first time in YEARS!!  I feel pretty good too, not doing great with the exercising and I don't have any good excuses, I know what I NEED to do but I am having trouble making the time, I know it will make the difference in how well I do so there is no excuse not to get off my butt!  I have had a bout or two with things getting stuck but they are getting further apart so I'm learning.   I gave away 5 large garbage bags of "fat clothes" and that felt wonderful.  I would love to make an EMMC support group, can someone tell me when they are???  Ok time for bed, hope everyone is doing fine.  I've been trying to post new pics but it's a challenge, I'll keep trying.
