Well i had my lap exploirty surgery yestday and found that i have a hernia a spot where it shouldn't have be and a duct or something was block and inthe wrong spot. I have to call dr huang to get the ocmplete low down for what was really found. I know about the hernia but my b/f (love on my life-one of the three) stayed at the hospital the whole time and was there as i woke up.

Dr huang repairred the hernia and i think fixed the other problem. Again need to find out what else was wrong.

Oh yeah i got weight befor surgery and i am at 188. i can believe it. I have lost  162 lbs

Topic: Sodium intake
I am inquiring about how much sodium intake per meal or per day should I have, I am RNY Laproscopic patient since June 12, 2008.

I have liquid shakes that have 1200 mg of sodium per 8 oz can.

I don't usually have a lot of sodium (salt) per day or any day.

My B/P are usually 98/60 or 98/70 or 100/60 sometimes it's 110 /70 or 120/80 but it's not higher than that.

Please give me some feedback.

Thank-you for your time. May you all have a great day:-)

IMO it's just another fad diet and won't work.  Just stick to your plan of protein first and no simple carbs and you will be fine.

It is pretty hard to stretch your pouch as it is made of the toughest part of the stomach.  YOu can however stretch your stoma and food will pass through so quickly that you will not get full.  My sister has done that and now she can eat just like before.

How does the pouch test work & how long do you stay on it? Where do I get the information on it? Please let me know. I had my laproscopic surgery June 12, 2008 I had weighed 303 the day of my surgery, and I weigh 230 as of now. I hope I did NOT stretch out my pouch. Please give me some ideas.

Please & Thank-you,
Lynda H.
