I dont have any "serious" co morbidities. I have severe pain in my back, knees and ankles. It is NOT arthritis. I have GERD. I may have ulcers and problems in my esophagus because of the acid. I am just worried about getting denied. I I seriously cannot enjoy life or work because of all the pain that I have.

Well its official i can't do milk lactaid or cheese now. Yogurt is still touch and go. I'm going to go shopping tomorrow for some groceries so that i have more than eggs to eat. I'm nervous because i feel like i'm right back at square one. Test and suffer when it comes to eating. Finding what works and what doesn't bother me.

I don't eat much over 10g of sugar myself, due to dumping. Maybe some greek yogurt would work for you, mixed with some sugar free preserves/jam or maybe some sf pudding mix? Hood makes the calorie countdown milk which is high in protein and low in sugar. I'd still call the doc or nutritionist if you continue to have issues........
Keep us posted and good luck!

I don't have anything with 5 grams or more of sugar. it will cause dumping. you've got to get protein into you. gnc has some great choices. my favorite is the chocolate even after 2+ years out. they also have fruit flavors. good luck with your healing.

Have you ever heard of UNJURY? You buy it online. I go to Dr. Loggins office in Lewiston, and they gave it to me to try. I haven't had surgery yet...and crossing my fingers for October. Anyway, I liked it when I tried the samples, and so I ordered it online. They even have a chicken soup one that tastes just like chicken broth but with lots of protein! It The chocolate kind I bought only has 2 grams of sugar per serving and the chicken soup one is only 1! My dietician had told me that NO premade drinks are appropriate, they all have too much sugar. Anyway, not being bossy, but I hope this is helpful. Good luck to you!!!!!
