I lost 5 lbs at my appt. but the bonus is that I made it to 5% (lost 5% of my body weight in total now), and so I won't have to do the liquid diet for 2 weeks before surgery...yay!
Now, when the staff meets this week, they will discuss me, and then if all goes well, my info. will be sent to the insurance. My docs office only has about a 2 week wait time after insurance approval, sooooo, I am hoping and praying for all this to be done before Halloween.
Again, thanks for the wonderful posts....so nice to have so many wishing me luck!

I haven't tried eas. I have been drinking the protein stuff that tracy gave me but its taking a lot for me to drink it. its nasty tasting. Its called wonder slim. I haven't tried the other powders yet.
I have an appointment thursday with my surgeon hopeing things will be better and my g-tube comes out. Its very uncomfortable.

2. How did you like the results?
I do like the results. I am still early on. I knew it would be muchslower then people who opted for the gastric bypass, but what i didnt realize is that when you first have the surgery the first couple weeks you feel a lot of restriction from the swelling. But then it goes away. That was frustration but I am getting back and things are great!
3. How long did it take you to get to your target weight?
Still too early to tell.
4. Did any of you NOT have serious comordities and just a HIGH BMI?
I did not have any comorbidities, but I was over 40 on the BMI. This was enough for my insurance company.

Hard cheeses and cottage cheese don't have lactose in them. Hey, I have a bunch of different protein powders you can try. Call me and we can make a time to meet. How about EAS low carb shakes from Wal Mart? They are quick and easy.

2. I have lost 162 lbs at last weight and still lossing.
3. I love the relsults. Could do without the extra skin on tummy and legs but dont want any more surgeries at this time.
4. I"m still workin on my goal weight I would like to get to 170 and hold
4.I unfortunately had serios comorbities. I had what is called intercranial hypertension. I almost went blind. I also had high bp, cronic pain, very bad headaches. After i lost the 50 lbs my headaches and ih went away.
I would do it all again in a heartbeat minus some of the complications i have run into.
