NEED HELP ASAP!!

I need to get my records from Dr Aslams office, does anyone know how I can do this? I called them a couple months ago and got a gentleman on The phone who said they would get them right out to me, but here it is months later and nothing. I am having some medical problems and need to see another doctor here iN Illinois, where I have moved to, but they are wanting my records. If anyone has any info on this please please please let me know asap. Thanks

Why not sign a release and have your current doctor request the medical records from your old doctor? They often respond quicker that way. Good luck!

Hi Paula, Sorry to hear you're having medical problems. I had to drive to the office in Augusta to get my records as they wouldn't mail them to me or my new Dr's office, but with your cir****tances of being out of the state and especially needing them for a medical issue, they should have fed-ex'd them to you right away. That's very unprofessional. I would call, fax and write them non stop until they sent them. Hope you feel better soon Ann

Hey Paula! I checked and no one is in Dr Aslam's office on a regular basis except Lisa, his former office manager. She checks in usually weekly. If you call his number 623-4586 and key in extension #4 you should be able to leave a message for Lisa. She is very nice and should be able to get your records to you. The alternate number is 626-1000. Judy G

paula i hope you are well i have a friend who had him also and she wwent to his office and picked hers up but she said you can get his info off this site he still has info on here and you can also see your pcp and have them fax his office a release and let them deal with it email me sometime i didnt even know that you had moved .. email me soon your friend best of luck debby

thanks to all *****plyed to my plea for help. I will be in Maine next week and will check with DR Aslams office then. But I did give them another call last week and left a message, but have heard nothing back. But anyway my son and I are driving up there to hold my late Husbands memorial. It will be on the 25th at 2:30 pm at Mt Vernon, Me 1st Baptist church. He passed away on Jan 23rd at 11:45pm from brain cancer at the age of 57. I will then bring him back to Illinois for burial, since that was his last wishes. Sorry I have not checked on more often, but am sure you all will totally understand, since I had been dealing with my wonderful hubbys lung/brain cancer for the past 10 months. God Bless you all for your responses. I have been losing lots of weight..lol..which was what was supposed to happen, but am also not able to eat any more than 1 or 2 bites without getting sick. I will be seeing a specialist here for WLS in Illinois once I have taken care of my late husbands wishes. God Bless you all. Paula
