Painful stricture

I had a stricture. I suddenly found that I couldn't eat or drink without pain and then couldn't eat or drink at all. I called the nurse and she checked with the doctor. I was told to stay with liquids for a day and see if that helped. This was on a Friday. By Friday night I had been able to drink only 44 oz of liquid and the thought of drinking more was painful to even think about. I called the emergency number and was told to stop eating and drinking and and edoscopy was set up for today. The doctor thought I might have an ulcer but found none. He dialated the stricture and said I might have to have it done again. I feel much better and was able to eat some soup this afternoon and soup and half a toasted cheese sandwich this evening.
