BACK HOME IN MAINE

Hello Just moved back to Maine from Illinois (yeah!!!). Looking for a good doctor in Augusta/Gardiner/Lewiston... Any recommendations or referrals? I had my surgery 2-27-04 and have been stuck at a 75 lb weight loss since then. Nothing gained (thankfully). Hope to hear from friends on here so that I can connect with a Dr. in my area. Hi Cindy, welcome back! Did you have rny or lap band surgery? The only doctors I know of in the Augusta area are Drs Morand and McKee but they only do the lap band and not the rny. Dr Aslam was my doctor but he has retired. I think there is someone in Lewiston but I'm not sure of the name, hopefully someone else will chime in. Good luck! Meredith

Dr. D'Augustine was my surgeon. I live in Lewiston and that is where he is located. He is a wonderful surgeon and truly a great man. My husband and I facilitate the local support group for Dr. D'Augustine. If you are interested in coming we would love to have you. The "pre-op" meeting is the first Monday of every month (although it will be held on Tuesday the 6th because of the holiday), that is when pre and post-op people attend, and we explain the whole process of WLS. We also talk about other things but mostly an informative meeting with Q and A. The second meeting which is the 3rd Monday of the month, we try to devote to a certain topic. The one coming up on the 19th has yet to be decided, but as soon as we have confirmation, we will post it here. By the way, the meetings are held in the CMMC Conference Center, basement level of 12 High Street, conference room B and C from 6 to 8 p.m. Anyway, if you would like to be added to our e-mail list just let me know. I had Dr D'Augustine in lewiston also he is a great Dr and a truly caring man my husband is also going through the process at this point right now I had my surgery on jan 18 of 05 hope to see you at the support group meeting if you can make it on sept 6th the start at 6pm debby 200/125/115? i hope
