Hello and update

Well I am going to try this one more time.. I posted or at least wrote a nice post and it seemed to disappear so here goes again. I am doing pretty good after my WLS. Had it o n June 6th, but had a leak so Dr Aslam decided to keep me in hospital for 8 long days. Had that great swallow test done 4 times in past couple of weeks. YUCK!! But the last one on Monday shows no leak..woohoo! Still have the feeding tube in till the 8th, but am now able to take fluids and gradually foods by mouth after 3 weeks out. My only great pain is in my back, which is from a totally different problem. Just that with the surgery I was not able to take my pain meds for the back till recently and so all of it was out of my system, If there was ever a doubt about them not working believe me they did work and hopefully will once again. As for my DH he is now out of hospital, but not doing well at all. Have to take him back to see Doctor this morning and not sure what they will be doing. He can not eat or drink again and has only been home for 1 1/2 days. I would like to thank Kelly D, Judy G, and Debbie A for the calls and visits while either in hospital or after coming home. You all are a blessing and I love you all. Thanks for keeping me in your prayers and thoughts plus keeping people here up to date on me. I have lost 25# to date and feeling pretty good. The surgery went well other than the leak I had mentioned before, but hey can't let something like a little old leak keep me down... I will post more later I hear the alarm going off so must be time to get my butt going for DH doctors appointment. Take care all and God Bless. Paula
