I've heard it all now. I received a statement from my insurance company for the one on one visit I had w/ Dr. D and they said that it is not covered by my plan. Shelly at Dr. D's office called my insurance to appeal and they required me to send in a picture of myself. I still haven't heard anything on whether they will cover my surgery or not, I'm still waiting.

Okay Doreen, that is a new one?? I guess you never know what the insurance company will want. So they haven't denied your surgery yet, just your one on one?? That's strange. I mean a consult is a consult, they should cover that as long as you get a referral from your PCP, but I guess it depends on the insurance. At least Shelly is appealing it and hopefully all will work out. I hope to see you at the meeting on the 5th (Tuesday) and hopefully you have some different - better - news by then.
