Happy Sunny Monday in Maine !
Good morning!
Another sunny but hot day in Maine. Have to remember all those rainy days to appreciate days like today.
Just wondering how everyone is doing on their WLS journies. Some of us are still in the pre-op diets, the pre-op testing and consultations, waiting for approvals, going to support groups, waiting for the big surgery day, post-op struggles, and celebrating WLS successes as well as challenges.
Where is everyone in their journey and how is it going? Let us know!
For my sharing.....I am coming up on 5 weeks post-op with the band and although the weight loss is slowing down, I struggle with no restriction for another 7 weeks because my surgeon is semi-retiring...and find that I can eat most things except for breads and pasta, and am worrying about regaining because my capacity for food has really increased also. Every day it is...I will stay on track...get my protein...get my fluids...get my exercise...and it is quite a challenge because I do get hnugry frequently.
Let's here it from the rest of you out there lurking in the background!
Take care!

Hello Judy, I think thing are going pretty fast, I have all my appointment scheduled and they will all be done by August 8th and then I can see the surgeon. (would have been sooner but I had to reschedule an appointment due to my vacation at the end of July) I also scheduled a physical just to make sure all is well and I am going to request a stress test because I have had 2 incidence of minor chest tightness in the past few months. Better safe then sorry
I have been really surprised by all the support from my pcp and family and friends in all this. I was so worried that I would get some grief but am very pleased how easy this has all been. So far so good
