A Loser at last

Finally I am on the losers side of my new life!!! I was released from the hospital yesterday afternoon, but have a feeding pump here with me.. my new buddy for the next couple weeks at least. Thank you Judy for keeping everyone updated on my conditon after my WLS. You are an Had my 2nd swallow test and still have that pesty leak, so Dr Aslam wanted me to go to a Medical care (nursing home), but after we talked we decided it would be good for me to go home and have home health care come in a couple times a week for the next few weeks to take care of my medical needs..i.e.feeding tube, dressings, and concerns. I go to see the Dr on Tuesday and I pray that all is going well. He is curently giving me antibiotics, in hopes the leak will correct itself. Will be doing this for the next 2 weeks then will have to see what happens if the leak is persisstant. I feel fine, and the feeding pump is not all that bad. I have my daughter and son-in-law here with us and for that I thank God. They are a great help expecially with my DH still fighting the lung cancer. We are a good pair.. me in the recliner and him laying on the sofa. But I did spend my 1st night home sleeping in my own bed! I will post more as I am up to being up more. Hi Paula! So glad to see that you are home! I called the hospital this morning and they said you had left yesterday. Jess graduated on Sunday and Dale and I were the chaperones for the all night Project Sunrise party for the graduates. Slept all day Monday! Wish I could have visited you more often. So glad that you are doing well and I will have you in my prayers for quick healing of that pesky leak! Take care and I will be looking forward to your posts. I see Dr A tomorrow morning. They moved my appt up from Thursday. Judy

Ha Girlfriend Wonderful to hear your home at last. Judy has been great at keeping us all in touch with how things were going with you, she sure is an Why the feeding pump? I've never heard of someone getting one after surgery before and it is something new to me. Is it because of the leak? Why couldn't the leak be repaired before you left the hospital? Or is it something that needs to heal on it's own? Goodness I must seen like a child with so many questions, LOL I'm glad to hear that you are feeling well and I will continue to pray for your speedy recovery. Also will keep your DH in my prayers.
