ONLY 6 MORE DAYS!!WOOHOO!!!!
I have just 6 days till I will be on the losers side in my journey to be at a healthy weight. Getting excited here!!! Went to the Dr today for my physical and looks like I will be having my bypass open. Too much scar adhesions to be taken care of from my 1991 gall blader surgery.( Cut from under the boobs to top of my pubic area.) Not a cool scar, but hey I sure felt better after they took care of that darn thing. Then there is the spinal stimulator in my backside for helping to control my back pain( have had 4 major back surgeries) and dr says that might be a small complication, but nothing we can't handle. So it is almost time for me to be counting the hours now.. instead of the days. Tomorrow will be going to hospital for my preop and will be finding out the time of my WLS.
EVerything else is all taken care of and in place..YeeHAA!!

I didn't do much, BBQ some chicken in the over, it was way too wet outside to get the grill going.

Your pal Janet
Hi Paula!
I soooo remember the excitement! One week ago today I had my surgery and I am so thankful I did. I feel so much better now!
I plan to be checking in on you so keep me updated on everything! They usually call the day before surgery to let you know when you are scheduled. That is what they have done for the two surgeries I have had there. Since yours will be on a Monday, I don't know if they still call on Sunday or if they call on Friday.
Everyone is wonderful at the hospital but it was so funny that I ended up in the maternity ward overnight! It was fine because there weren't many there and I had a lot of wonderful nurses there. Only heard one baby and never saw any in the nursery. Oh well...
Karen P said down on the surgery floor that the nurses were great too. I would love to come visit you in the hospital if you feel up to it. I will email you my phone number so you can call if you want.
Thanks for all your warm messages and words of encouragement while I was recuperating. It made a lot of difference and helped me stay focused through the first few days.
Take care and let me know how it is going. I will send you my phone number if you want to call and chat. Even though I had the lapband, there still are a number of similarities in the process and definitely in the struggles.
