help dr says i have hernia???

could anyone out there who may also have had a hernia give me some info... what happened after they found it..did you have to have more surgery?? any info will help thanks melissa

I just found out that I have a small ventral hernia. My surgeon tells me that unless I start having alot of pain with it, he's just gonna let it go for now. I have started wearing a binder sometimes and am being very careful. He also told me that after my weight stabilizes, I may be able to have it repaired and have a TT at the same time. Hernias do not go away on there on own, so my guess is that somewhere down the road, we're looking at more surgery! Hope this helps a little. Kim 261-164-130?

hi kim, have it done now and get it over with. start complaining of the pain and stuff. or if it doesn't hurt can your doc do a tt and the hernia repair at the same time. i had a hernia before surgery and he repaired it and did my wls at the same time.
