Hi Debby, I too had to have an upper GI and yes it was very yucky!! I'm really glad everything turned out good for you and I'm sure you are excited that your date is coming up pretty quickly!! Don't worry too much, I'm positive that everything will work out great. Dr. D is the best!! I was just wondering why you had an upper GI for preop testing. I had to have the gallbladder ultrasound and the blood work, EKG and breathing test, but I had the upper GI after my surgery for my ulcer and Travis didn't need to have it either? Do you have reflux or something like that? Just wondering if Dr. D has changed things in the last month? Thanks, and have a Happy Holiday! Tracie

Hey Debby, not sure why you had to have that upper gi either .......I am glad that you were able to get that done. The rest of the tests are a breeze! I am going on January 6th for something called an EGD. They will drug me up, go in with a scope, check out my throat, stomach and part of my intestine to make sure the h-pylori hasn't damaged anything. I have to take 8 pills a day for the next 13 days to get rid of the bacteria. Well, I am anxious to hear how today's tests went for you. I'm sure you will say that you were worried for nothing. I did. Have a beautiful Christmas and New Year's and I hope to see you on the 3rd! Dee

Hey Dee, I had an EGD. No problem... really!!!! The only difference is that I had to get put to sleep because of my sleep apnea (which is gone now ). So I don't remember much, but I know it was really fast anyway. No problem at all. I'm sure everything will be fine, but I will keep you in my thoughts that the H-pyelori didn't do any damage. Hey I can't wait until more of you can start showing up to the post-op meetings. This month it was just me, Travis and Dave. I hope next month more people can attend, because I have gone three times now and each time there are only two other people there. I hope you have a Merry Christmas and I hope to see you on the 3rd. Eat some yummy food (while you can) for me. Tracie
