Questions

Hello, I will be meeting with Dr.Toder on Dec 21st. , I am getting real nervous, can anyone tell me anything about her, I keep reading the posts and I am always see Dr. Cloughs name appear! Just wondering about her? Also how long after you have your 1st appt with surgeron is it before you get your scheduled surgery date? Thanxs, Michele

Michele, I had Dr. Toder and thought she was wonderful. She is very professional and kind. I met with her on 6/24/03. On 7/2/03 I received my approval letter from Anthem, 7/5/03 I received my letter from Lynn with my surgery date and I had surgery on 8/28/03. It all seemed to go pretty fast, but I don't know what their case load is at this point. I really like Dr. Toder. She is up front and doesn't beat around the bush about anything--some people don't like that, but I appreciate that quality in a person. Hi Michele, I have Dr. Toder also. She is wonderful, and will answer any questions you have so that you will understand everything. I was so nervous, I had my mother come in with me. Dr. Toder answered both of our questions without hesitation. Your surgery date will be scheduled depending on how long it takes your insurance provider to give their approval and on what the schedule is for the surgeon. Usually it takes about 6 months, from the time you first start the program (going to the first meetings, and all the other appts and tests). Meeting with the surgeon is the final step in the whole process. Patients on your part is going to be the toughest. Don't fret, your surgery date will be there soon. You are in great hands with Dr. Toder, she did my surgery and my cousins. My husband will be having the surgery next year, and will also have Dr. Toder. Best wishes to you, Cindy K.
