Hello Laura, Thanks for writing. As it seems many folks read but don't write. For a while I just haven't been able to get online to the board even to just read posts and for a while before that I wasn't inspired to write so I understand. I think this board, like many other things in this process are outgrown after a while. I did want to spread the sad news about Billy though. Yes, he did go to the meetings often. He was a very nice guy. I wish he had stuck to the rules and maybe he wouldn't have ended up with the complications. Poor guy. I feel for his family. As I am going through a death in the family right now. My Grampa hasn't gone yet but he has said his goodbyes and is ready to go. It really sucks. My husband used to work at Microdyne. For the MSN contract before it went to India. It actually was lucky he was laid off since it was shortly before my surgery and he got unemployment. Things just seem to work out right when they need to, isn't that odd... Thanks for the congrats. We are excited, family and everyone too. Our son is 3 and will be turning 4 when the baby comes. He thinks it's neat. When he sees someone new he says "I'm going to be a big brother, mama has a baby in her womb". He knew I was preggo before I did. He was telling me for a week I had "a baby in there". It's going to be very cool. The meetings are pretty much the same although they are ending the Saturday to be replaced with another Friday group. So, it will be like this: First Friday (with Lynn) of the month 4-6 at Mason. Second Wednesday (with Dayna) 5-7 at Mason. Third Friday (with Amanda) I think either 4-6 or 5-7, I can find out. And a new group on the fourth Monday (with Dayna) 4-5 at Union St. There is also one for TAMC that Dayna does but I can't recall the day and time, I can find out. I am freezing so I think I'll go snuggle in bed...it's going to be a long winter... Casey

Casey, I vaguely remember Billy...but my grandma remember seeing him perform at the Brewer Rehab Center when she was in there a while back. It was before his original surgery though. I'm sorry to hear about your grandpa, its too bad he won't live to see your new little one on the way. There is going to be a birth in my family too. My cousin Matt's girlfriend/fiance is going to have a baby any day now. She's due in January, though...but could go at any time. Everyone is excited about it, after the initial shock, that is. Matt is only 21 and Katrina his g/f is 18. I really enjoy my job at Microdyne. I work in the Distressed Shipping department, which means I help get packages to their rightful places. Its an interesting job to say the least. I'll have to make time in my schedule for one support group a month because I really miss going to them. Well, I have to get back to work, I'm slacking off...lol Talk later, Laura

Hi Laura, Yes he did perform alot. He was quite the singer. It is too bad he didn't make it. I can't imagine being in his wifes shoes. It's weird how it shows the real cycle of life...one passes and one is born. That's great you have an interesting job, I can't imagine doing tech calls and such. I'd get bored. Looking forward to seeing you at a meeting, the more the merrier. Sorry if this seems short, our son is protesting bed time.... Goodnight, Casey

Casey, sorry its taken so long to write back...been really busy with work. I work 5 days a week from 11:00am to 7:30pm. I really want to try to get back to the support group meetings, but it's hard because of my schedule. Not many people that work here know about my surgery, since they've all met the "new me" and never knew the "old me". I know my boss would understand and let me have the time off to get to a meeting, as long as I made up the hours some other time. My cousin's girlfriend had her baby, a girl, on December 31, 2004 at 2:23am. Her name is Kaydence Elizabeth. I have yet to go see her, we've had loads of car problems lately. Well, hope to see you soon. Feel free to e-mail me sometime, my e-mail link is current now. Later, Laura
