Hello everyone, Thanks Dee for posting the message for me. I'm glad someone let everyone know how I was doing. It can be a long time before people can make a post. As for an update since Dee's. I got home on Saturday afternoon, I couldn't wait to get out of the hospital. I am a person that needs sleep and when the come in at all hours of the night (which I know they have to) it makes it hard to sleep. Well.....I got home and plopped in the recliner and fell asleep for a few hours. I couldn't hack much more of the recliner that night so I went to bed. What I did was prop up a bunch of pillows so I was at an incline it was the greatest. I slept for 6 hours, giving up at 3 am to revert back to the recliner. Sunday I didn't do too much, I did take a walk outside for a little while, the fresh air felt wonderful. Soon after that I was tired again. Today was the first day that I ate something semi solid. I had an egg for dinner. It was the best egg that I have tasted. I couldn't eat it all of course, started feeling pressure. But a couple hours later I get this empty sensation in my stomach, I'm not sure if that is hungar or not. I sip on a bit of water and it disappears for a while. Am I not eating enough? If anyone has any help on this matter it would be appreciated. Well....I'm going to run for now. Starting to get tired again! Thanks to everyone again for all their support!

YEEHA!!!! I am sooooo happy that you are home and feeling great! Can't wait to see you at the next group meeting! Also, VERY happy to hear that you can sleep in bed! That's a big PLUS! When I came home from the hospital, I made sure to eat 3 times a day. It might not have been much, but it was 3 meals to me. Maybe only a little chicken broth, jello, egg beaters, or whatever. It really made a difference and it's still the way I eat today, 4 months post op. I'm so glad you posted, if you have anymore questions, please feel free to email me or call me. I don't want to post my phone # here, but if you email me I'll give it to you. Keep up the good work and the wonderfully high spirits! Kim

Hi Sherry!! I'm so glad everything went great!! It is great that you are sleeping in a bed, I couldn't wait to do that either. I think the way you are feeling about eating is exactly the way you are supposed to feel. That pressure feeling is actually being full, funny huh. It took me a couple of "meals" to realize that I was actually full. You are doing exactly right when it comes to the water too. For me, I wait 1/2 hour after meals before drinking, but then I just sip on water all day long and it makes me feel better too. Also, I read your profile and my family is exactly the same way. I too realize they are being helpful but it does get annoying. My mother actually worried about calories that I was taking in, I finally yelled at her and said "mom, I had 400 calories all day today, I don't think a piece of low fat cheese is going to make me gain weight!!" Travis does it too sometimes, but you know what, most of the time he is right about me eating too fast or something and I end up paying for it later on, so sometimes it pays to listen to them, but more often I wish they would just listen to me too!! Just keep doing what you know is right and when the weight starts coming off quickly, they will start "shutting up" because they will see that what you are doing is correct!! Keep it up. I can't wait to see you at the pre-op meeting in December? Also, I went to the post-op meeting last night and it was only me, Melissa and Dave, that was kind of a bummer, but still fun. We definitely need more people at those post-op meetings, hopefully you can come to the next one. Again, I'm so glad everything went good. Take Care and see you soon.
