Anyone on Coumadin

I am set to have surgery in January....Three years ago I had open heart surgery to replace a heart valve because of Redux ( weight loss drug) I now have a mechanical heart valve and I am on Coumadin...... I was just wondering if any of you have had surgery while on Coumadin and if you had any probelms such has blood clots ect.....I would just like to feel a little more comfortable going into surgery...Thanks

I was put on Coumadin the day before surgery and was kept on it til my release? I was injected 2 times a day into the stomache. Not sure if that will help you or not? Lee
