LapBand
I ONLY want LAPBAND surgery, if at all. I weigh 450 pounds, am going to tryt o lose 80 or so before procedure. Also, my stomach has become so big that the part that hangs down sits on my legs sometimes and I am now having sores and major rashes. I am diabetic and havbe had some infections from it. I have not gone to my doctor about it yet. The infection is clearing up. Funny i am using a moisturizer and that seems to be clearing up the rash and the infection. I do not want regular bypass. To much change to go thru.
Any ideas.
Unfortuneately i may have burnt all bridges at EMMC, was to impatient, and would have to have any procedure done a****erville or lewsiton.
I am sorry about the situation that occured between me and there great department. I just do not believe telling me 1000 times the same thing over and over is necessary
But i digress.
Thank you for any information.
Hi there,
I don't know what facilities do the lap band. However, do you think there is a possibility that you could talk to EMMC one more time and tell them that you are still interested. I am sure you are not the only one who has been frustrated during this whole process. I am planning on the gastric for myself because I have allergies and cannot have the lap band. Also, supposedly more weight loss occurs with the gastric.
Anyway, as far as the infections go I know all about them. I have those infections every month. They are actually yeast infections from the moisture of the skin being in contact with each other. My doctor has me use lotrimin and it helps and she says to apply baby powder to keep the area dry. You may want your doctor to be aware of this problem. It will help you get approval for a panni after you have lost all your weight.
Anyway, keep you chin up and don't give up for your dreams.
I don't know what has happened between you and EMMC, but maybe it would be worth it to try there again. I am in their program, and loving it! I just had my three month anniversary, and their dieticians just keep motivating me! I have RNY, open gastric bypass, and except for the incisional discomfort following surgery, I feel like a million bucks! Of course, it is a personal decision, and if you are definite in your want to have the lap surgery, then you go! Whatever you decide, best of luck Anthony!!!
