I lost 100 pounds in the first 100 days but for the last month I have not lost much, only 7 pounds. Is this a plateau? I am eating salads, cheese, cereal, soups, crackers, etc. in small amounts but maybe it's too many calories? I have not started walking yet but will be. I'm getting nervous that I won't loose any more but how could I not? Has anyone hit a long plateau about 4 months out of surgery? I also go to my food addiction therepist every week (and have gone for 9 months). I'm working on not returning to old habits. Did any of you get anxious about not loosing for a while, and what happened? I also just bought Nectar...a juice form of protein drink that has 23 grams of protein in each serving. With this I should not be hungry and graze during the evening. Any advise is welcome.

Hi there, It was nice to see you at the support meeting. Can't help on the plateau since I haven't been there yet. However, I just wanted to say hi and wish you luck on getting past the plateau. After all that kayak is waiting for you and I bet you can't wait to use it! My husband was actually jealous about that! He has been eyeballing those things for ages but hates the thought of doing that alone! Who knows maybe someday we may kayak together! HA! I can hope anyway! Take Care! Lisa

Hi Heather, Are you getting enough protein in? it sounds like you're eating way too many carbs, which really make you crave more carbs and thus the snacking begins. Have you tried beef jerky? I don't like the regular variety but the 'Nuggets' are much tastier and easier to eat. Also, congrats on seeing a Therapist for food addiction. Knowing you have an issue with overeating is 99% solving it! Keep it up, increase your protein and I bet the pounds will drop right off! Peace, -Deb (originally from NH so I lurk here now and then)
