Remember when....

Remember when we were kids and if your brother or sister got up from a chair, you would take it, cause of course, it was the best seat...even if you knew it would cause an arguement that you would end up laughing over later? Well, the other evening, I was sitting in "my" chair and got up to get some coffee. My son, (16 going on dead...err 17(he's a good kid) decided to jump into my chair to talk with his dad. All the time with a grin on his face knowing I would want my chair back. I came back into the living room and asked him to move, of course he just smiled and said "make me". I threatend to sit on him if he didn't move, he said "bring it on". So I plopped myself down, he said "oh you can stay there, but ya have to move, your butt is boney." So I wiggled to digg the butt bones in a bit, he started laughing, put his arm under my knees and around my back, stood up, PICKING me up and promptly dropped my in his dad's lap. All the while they were both laughing. My eyes got wide, in shock, then I too started laughing. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect my son to be able to pick me up, let alone from a sitting position to standing! Hope you enjoy your life and look to new happy memories to enjoy! Hugs, Cindy K.

Cindy: Great story and motivating!!! I am now 9 pounds from my surgeon's goal for me, 14 for my goal. My sister mentioned recently that I don't look like I even have a butt anymore and that I weigh less than she does. I don't that has ever happened in my life and she is three years younger!!!! So, I too am developing new memories--but the old ones remind me to take good care of myself! Hope to see you at support group sometime. Jane
