Hi All, I am devastated! I usually weigh every week, I am still going to my weight loss meeting TOPS. This week I gained a pound. It is 13 weeks since my surgery. I have lost 60 actually 59lbs now. I was taken off of my blood pressure & fliud pill last week. The last one of my pills! I am really discouraged. I really thought that I would not gain until I reached much farther. I have heard of stand stills but gains seemed unheard of. I am nervous now that this will be all I will lose. That would be devastating after all I have gone through. Has anyone ever heard of this? Help me please... Janine

Bet it was fluid since you just stopped the fluid pill.

Hi Janine, Don't fret, it's normal...you changed meds, any type of change like this will have an affect. You will adjust and then the weight loss will continue. When I was in the weight loss phase I would hit a plateau, or gained a bit, I would adjust my routine and the foods I ate. My body adjusted to my activities and foods, that's when I would plateau. By making a change my body started working again. I am now 14 months post op, on weight maintenance and I gain & lose 5 lbs continuously, fluctuating between 135 & 140. You are doing fantastic, keep it up, & follow what your doctor and the dietician tell you & you will succeed. Cindy K.
