Back at home

Hey everyone... back at home again after my parents drove me crazy for 3 days. The surgery on Monday was great, nothing wrong with it, but I hurt like anything! I was told that I wouldn't hurt much, but man... felt like someone kicked me in the ribs. But, I'm okay now, just on Extra Strength Tylenol, and easing myself out of chairs and such. I've been walking (sometimes in the blazing sun... thanks Mom and Dad) and I've lost 3 pounds so far. Heh heh, sounds pretty pathetic, but hey, I'm proud. Gonna go eat some yogurt now. Hope everyone's doing well. -Heidi

Hi Heidi, Congrats on being home. I got home yesterday. Went to stay with a friend when I got discharged. I also feel like I got kicked in the ribs. I think it is the incision more than the pouch. Not having any trouble eating as long as I measure. But I do feel bloated. The weight is melting off my face, neck and shoulders. I won't get on the scale until my appointment on next Wednesday. I am three weeks out, and yogurt is my friend! LOL Congratulations on your journey and weight loss so far! I feel like I have been given the gift of life after this surgery, I also felt like I was kicked in the ribs though. But it will all be worth it, I know. Keep up the great work! Sandy
