How long after your 2nd appt will you get a surgery date?

I had my first appt on 8-2 and the second was isn't until 9-20. That seemed like a long time.

Hi Susan, It was nice to meet you at Tuesday's support group meeting in Scarborough! If I remember correctly, it was within the week after my 2nd appointment that the bariatric center called me with a surgery date. The date was like 4 or 5 weeks from then...... It will be here before you know it! Good Luck! Julie

Thanks Julie! Can you tell I'm anxious now! I was hoping that the second appointment would be a bit sooner. Before I had my first appointment I was scheduled to have a sleep study. That's coming up next week so that shouldn't slow the process too much. I also still need to hear even if my insurance will pay! I did a little research and it didn't appear that many people have had problems with BC/BS so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Take care, and I may see you at the next meeting!

Hi Susan, I sat next to you at the meeting. It was great meeting you! I see you are nervous and I am sure I will be too as my date gets closer.
