I just got home from surgery on Saturday. I had it done laparascopic with Dr. Toder. Things went fairly well. They had to put in a central line in rather than a regular IV which hurt alot going in. I had alot of nausea and vomiting the second day post op but that has since resolved. I wonder how long does this burping sensation last? And is feeling so tired this normal. I could fall asleep right now.

Congratulations! I do not remember having a burping sensation but I sure had the weakness. I was sooooooooo weak and soooooo tired. It lasted about 3 weeks for me, but I bet it will not with you. It really amazed me just how much the surgery took out of me. If it had just been pain then no biggy but just wanting to sleep was terrible! Good luck! Theresa 235/@DocsGoal-140/want 135

Hmm-I don't know what you mean by burping sensation. I had mine done lap and they do pump gas into us--maybe that is what you are experiencing. Tired--yes absolutely that is normal. You have just had a really major surgery even if the incisions are small. I was exhausted for almost two weeks and not feeling really back to normal until around 5 weeks. Good luck in your recovery.
