Pre-OP Class

I went to my support group meeting on June 19,2004 and now this friday July 2nd will be when I goto Pre-Op in Bangor at 2pm. Can't wait to get 1st appt. for psych or whatever. Can I get it after that pre-op class. I am not going to the following support group meeting. I live almost 2 hours away and will already be up since 2am when i get to the class. Hi Tony, After you have attended the pre-op class, you should get a referral from your PCP to the Surgical Weight Loss Program, from there you will be set up with your appts with the Dietician, Physical Thereapy, Psych Eval, etc. When you get the appts, you can request to be put on a waiting list for any cancellations that each office may have. That's what I did & I was seen much faster. Best of luck to you, Cindy K.

My doctor was the one who suggested and referred me to the program at EMMC anyway. SO hopefully I can ride home with appointments I need.

Tony, If I remember right, after you attend a Support Group Meeting and the Pre-op Class, Lynn will mail you a letter with all of your other appointments it in. I can't remember how long it took to get the letter, but it wasn't more than 2 weeks. Jill
