9th month update
Yesterday was my 9th month out. Im down 134 pounds. In the last couple months ive been up and down with mood swings...mad as hell at the world and couldn't figure out why. I was loosing weight i should be ontop of the world guess i had more issues in my life besides being so overweight. So anyway today i was put on Lexapro for depression and we'll see how that works. Otherwise then mood swings my health is great bp was normal today, lungs clear (even tho im a smoker), everyone says im looking great and i just don't see it in the mirror as much as i try. I had to go buy my first belt the other day, jeans i got 2 months ago for an outting are now slideing down my butt when i bend over in the garden and i don't think the world is ready for my full moon yet.
Hope you are are doing great...hugsssssss on all of ya

Hi Sally,
I understand what you mean about not "seeing" the difference. But, you will adjust and begin to see it. I am 1 year out on the 20th, and it wasn't until about a month or so ago that I started to "see" the difference for myself. The reason is because we look in the mirror (after our showers), and all be see is the same skin in rolls like they were before surgery. It was depressing, until looking closer, those rolls were now smaller, and the body beneath the rolls was no longer sticking out like a beach ball, it was flat. Then I put my size 12 jeans up to my 28's and realized "My God! I did it!" "I am smaller". I still have one pair of my largest size pants, I still pull them out once in a great while, just to remind myself of just how far I've come.
At 9 months out and down 132 pounds you ARE doing fantastic, take time for yourself, and list what you could not do 9 months ago versus what you CAN do now. Then take a really good look at yourself, look at the physical, mental and emotional changes for the good that you have made. You will surprise yourself. Keep telling yourself "Damn, I'm Good!", soon you will be believing it.
Hugs,
Cindy K.
Sounds like you are doing wonderful!!! Congratulations. Isn't this journey a hoot? I need belts too but I just cant seem to find any I like. But I am into buying shoes and pocket books for some reason, never have been before.
Just wait for the next 3 months, they are just as fun!
