Update on Janine Manuel's surgery

Hi All Janine had her surgery on Monday morning and was doing exceptionally well when on Tuesday morning she started vomitting blood - she was bleeding internally. She had another procedure done to determine where the bleeding was coming from - the stapled area. She was transferred to the ICU. I had spoken to her husband on Tuesday night and he indicated that the bleeding had stopped and she was doing much better. Well now I am worried and been thinking and praying for her. She is still in ICU and have not heard from her husband. I will leave a message at the hotel for him to contact me. I am eagerly awaiting for a response. Hopefully they are just keeping an eye on her and will release her soon. Jannine came to see me at the hospital when I had my procedure done - May 7th - and she was so excited to go to the losing side. You would all love her bubbly personality!! For myself, I am doing great. I'm glad I can now e-mail and tolerate sitting in front of the computer. I will be going to Dr. Clough's office to have my staples taken out on Monday. Can't wait to see how much weight I have lost to date. I refuse to get on a scale until then. I am very fortunate to be doing extremely well. Thanks to all the prayers that were said for me and to all the special thoughts. I am a firm believer that every prayer helps. That's all for now. I will e-mail again regarding Jannine. Nancy
