Hi all I just wanted to let everyone know that my psychatrist released me today and said that he feels I am ready to procede with the operation!!! Does anyone know how long it will take now before I should hear when I can meet with the surgeon?

The length of time before you see your surgeon depends on the hospital and which surgeon you have. You may want to make a phone call & ask your surgeons office how long it will take. Take Care & CONGRATULATIONS!!! Cindy K.

Hi Carol, Isn't it nice to have a professional tell you that you aren't crazy! lol The thing I would keep in mind is this, Bangor has a program you need to navigate through. So they may have you see their psychologist even though yours has given you the ok. I'd get on the horn with Lynn B. and see what the plan will be for you. The general time line they have been saying in Bangor is 4-6 months total. So heads up, you are entering the fastest, state of the art, multi-disiplinary program in the state. And I would have to say it it the best program in Maine! Goodluck, Casey
