I'VE GOT A DATE - I'VE GOT A DATE!!!!!

I am so excited - I am beside myself. I'VE GOT A DATE!!! My surgery is scheduled for May 7th @ EMMC. I found out first thing this morning. My feet haven't touched the floor since then. Think about it - it's only two weeks away Nancy

Nancy how wonderful for you. Who is doing your procedure and which one are you having? How long was this process for you? Who is your insurance carrier? I have so many questions but believe me, I am just so excited for you. Remember me up here in Easton just waiting, waiting, waiting... Robin

Hi Robin I started the procedure in mid November when my PCP made the referral to Bangor. The first week in December I attended the educational meeting and support group. Then it was like I was going to Bangor every two or three weeks for all the appointments. Doctor Clough will be doing the procedure - the full gastric bypass. My insurance is CIGNA. I opened my mail today and CIGNA sent me a letter that states that I have been approved for June 1 and for one day only. Well, helllooooo. I am assuming that I will be in the hospital more than one day, don't you? I have a few phone calls to make to Dr. Clough's office and the insurance because I am scheduled for May 7th. A few gliches will occur, I won't panic. Nancy

Nancy, I'm sooooo happy for you!! Things seem to have gone very smoothly for you and I'm sure they will continue that way. 14 days - can you stand it?!?! Amy

Congrats on your date! Your surgery is on my Hubby's birthday. I had surgery on the 16th of April and have lost 20 pounds already. You will do just fine. Get plenty of rest now so you won't go into surgery all tuckered out. Other than Chapstick you won't need anything so pack very light. Michelle DeGroff
