I am 4 weeks post op and had quite a bit of energy pre op but now I'm like a veg..... I'm soooooo tired, I'm still needing naps daily and just feel so low...... I'm glad I did it don't get me wrong, the weight is coming off too but I'm surprised how tired I still am, and returning to work next Monday so that's kinda scaring me..... any ideas????

You sound just like how I was. I had ZERO energy for the longest time. I also took naps for months, still do when I can. Though the naps I take now are mostly because I have a schedual that gives me very little time for sleep. I am a night owl, hub gets up between 1 am and 2 am for work, babies still wake up wanting their pacifer or they get scared, then the older kids get up at 6 am for school. But, in the begining, right after surgery, I was soooooooooo weak. I could have slept all day till about 5 weeks. It was at 5 weeks I started getting in enough protein. Protein made all the difference in the world to me. I felt 90% better within a few days of starting the Unjury protein. Then everything started falling into place. Good luck, be prepared that you might not be able to do full days the first week back. Theresa OpenRNY 7/15/03 235/147/140?135

Hi Lindy...I had the same problem also...I found that when I started taking my iron my energy level went up so good...When I forget my iron I could really feel it...I also think the vitamins helped too but I think it was more from the iron...I have to take 325mgs iron...Dr Alsam has all his patients take a regiment of vitamins. I hate pills with a passion . If I can find a way to get a shot instead of a pill I go for it....I already get the B-12 shot... Someone told me you can get an iron shot so I'm gonna ask my dr about it... Hope I helped. Sincerely, Helen K. 2/5/04 388/318
