Psychologist lied to me in his office

I am so MAD!!!!! I had my last appt with the Psychologist on the 15th of March. Before I left his office I asked him what his recommendation was going to be. He said he would recommend me for the gastric bypass. Today the doctor's office called and said that his recommendation was 6 months medically supervised diet. I have been overweight for 6 1/2 years. I have tried EVERYTHING doesnt he think if I could have lost the weight before now I would have? I tried to call him today and of course he wasnt in. But he will be getting a phone call from me tomorrow or a face to face visit and he will explain why he lied to me. Thanks for listening to me vent!!!!

Sorry to Hear about your appt going bad...I know how you feel.. I was told that I have to go through therapy for 3-6 months before i continue my process..or until the psychologist gives them the ok. I just think its stupid. I have been dealing with depression all my life so its not anythign new for me...I figure if im IN therapy that shoudl be good enough...BUT oh no...im emotionally unstable Erika

Good for you. Sometimes these Docs forget who they work for. We pay them, not the other way around. I get so upset sometime, especially when I wait an hour for an appointment. I understand emergencies happen. But give me an option to reschedule! This happened once and I went to the desk and told them I have to reschedule. They were upset with me, saying I was messing up the Doctors schedule. Then had the nerve to say they were going to charge me for a No-Show! The nerve of these folk. They not only hold our lives in their hands but they can be rude and obnoxious too! Again, you go girl! Stand up for yourself! Robin
