I am full of the questions today! LOL I think I have enough to keep this message board running all by myself...J/J So I wanted to know about drinking after the surgery. Alcohol, I mean. Not that I am an alcoholic, but I do like to og out every once and a while. Should you not drink, or is it ok. Not really sure, and I never really got a straight answer form my surgeon about it. If it is off limits, then I will just have to deal with it, but if I can every once in a while, then that is cool too! Just thought I would ask! Thanks everyone!!! Amber

Hi Amber, Well, I must say that I have never been a big drinker. I'm 6 mo post op and when I go out and others are having a drink I usually nurse 1 Michelob Ultra...low on carbs/calories, etc. Never been a beer drinker either! But somehow it tastes good. Haven't tried hard liquor, mixed drinks or even wine. Anyway...hope that helps! Sue

Amber, The short answer is...in Bangor alcohol is a no no. The longer answer is...you could if you really wanted, although you would have to be careful as it obviously goes in your system alot faster. Personally I don't have an ounce in my body that agrees with alcohol use but that is an entirely different story... Casey

Hi Amber, I felt brave at my husbands Christmas Party, I took 2 hours to drink 4 oz of wine. I paid for it dearly later. I did not get sick, but I sure was in pain. So, I guess you could say that was a lesson learned. But then, I am daring & I do try different things, because in my mind I'm impervious to all the no no's....at least until I try them....once. Take care, Cindy K.
