Wow!!! What a response....I am very pleased and happy to hear from all of you who answered..I'll try to answer questions here for all to read. HMMMM.. first.. I had the Reuyn Bi-Pass without staples.. I probably mispelled it because I am not good at spelling lol.. but I think you get the idea. I was told at my year check up to try not to eat more than 1 1/2 cups of food at a time.. which I am able to do..I am sure you will all find that what kind of food you eat makes a difference as to how much you tolerate. I can eat a nice size salad..you add chicken etc to it..it fills me up faster and then I can't eat all the lettuce. I'm talking like a Wendy's or McDonalds salad. I can eat a hamburger from MCD's if I take half the bun off..but that pretty much fills me up..only a couple of fries..I don't do that often..but when my grandchildren are here..you know they want to go there.. and yes I try to eat the salads..but once in a while..sigh..My husband took me out to Portland for Valentines day. I was able to eat a cup of wonderful French Onion Soup...Eat probably 3 oz. of my steak, nibble a couple of bites of baked potato, and a couple of bites of my veggies..and I was stuffed. again, the soup was mostly liquid so..it didn't take up much room. I have also learned to eat a few bites.. put my fork down and wait..then eat a bit more..I have been told not to let the meal last over 20 min. as you can do that until you eat thewhole meal..which isn't a good thing. I take lots of doggie bags home. For the most part, the serving size on a package is plenty..the small frozen entree's are perfect..but I don't eat many of them.. Hope this gives you some idea. Just be careful not to get carried away or graze as the lbs will creep back on..I have gained over 10 lbs in the last year..if that continues, in 10 more years i'll weigh 300 again..so I have to stop it NOW!!!! As far as meeting people and connecting with old friends.. My friends were super and loved me fat or thin...but I did get a lot of support from them and my co-workers..I inspired 4 other people in my old office to have the surgery..That was interesting..One lady had laproscopy and she is the one who had the most troubles...may be coincidence but not sure.. I will say my husband really connected with me ... As a matter of fact I am originally from Illinois. I met him online about 6 months prior to having my surgery...he loved me fat but he is proud of me now.. and it is hard for him to see me struggling so.. I weighed 330 lbs..and lost down to 184. I got back up to 197 but have just lost 2 lbs. I know part of my problems is that I cannot exercise much due to degenerative osteo arthritis in both knees. I'm in water therapy now trying to imrove that.. Can't wait for Spring!!! As a matter of fact my husband and I are going to Florida for our first real vacation together...we are excited..we leave Tue.. Enough for now..probably too much for now..lol Sharon
