I may be 3 years post op but I still need support! Thank goodness I found you guys
I was please to have the fast response from Teresa. I will try to post often to let you know how life is after the weightloss..and the struggle to keep it off. I've been a bit depressed..probably partly due to this long winter, but also because I have been struggling to maintain. I had such high hopes my weight problems would be over when I had the surgery..reality check is here..It never really goes away..but.. have to work at it every day...It is easy for the old habits to creep back into your life..so beware!!! don't let em back..lol..
Anyway, enough of the pitty party for me..I would be happy to answer any questions anyone has as I noticed most of the board are those trying to have the surgery or those within the first year post-op.
I am glad I found you guys..
Take care all,
Sharon
Hi Sharon,
I hear ya on the real life bit. I went through a "now what" thing last month. Since I am below goal at 9 months out I thought, hmm, I'm here...what now?
I have been naughty with food...tsk tsk. You're right, it is a daily struggle. My husband was on vaca from college this week and last, I got him some donuts just to be "sweet" and whoops, wouldn't ya know, one of those cinnamon buggers ended up in my belly. No problems with it, just high calories, fat and guilt. Which led me to one of the chocolate covered ones...bad girl, bad. lol

Welcome,
So glad to have a "seasoned" weight loss friend. I am about 5 weeks out and am down 30 lbs by my scale. I am curious as to how much you can eat after a couple years. We went to a restaurant the other night and I ordered nachos with beef and figured I would pick stuff out of it. Only had a couple bites of the nachos and a little bit of cheese and beef and I was done! It looked as though I had hardly touched it. The waitress asked if everything was ok. LOL Will I ever be able to eat a "meal"? Just curious as to a normal day of eating for you. hope you don't mind the questions.
welcome again, looking forward to getting to know you.
Val
