what is the difference

I'm just wondering what the difference is between all the types of surgery and what you all feel is the most effective one of them. I kind of know what the lapband is but am lost about the rest. Also can all of them be done laprascopically or do you need to have open surgery for some of them? Thanks candice

Also, it might be important to find out what the surgeon you are chosing has for options before researching in depth all types. For instance my surgeon does RNY open but his partner Dr Toder does RNY open and laparoscopically, also the band. Goodluck, Casey
