Home and doing well

Hi everyone, I have a better understanding now why we don't hear from people on the message board for a while. There's a lot of sleep involved during pain management and healing and the little tricks we learn to be mobile (getting up and down and in and out of bed) are much. much easier before the staple line. LOL It was so awesome to see Ron, Caesy, Theresa, Tom and Mary Ann at the hospital. I was very excited and happy. Sorry about the complaint on the noise. I had a very unusual roommate who's daughter was having a major meltdown when we were visiting. However, the same rules didn't apply to her very loud family and friends when they visited. OH WELL...water under the dam. LOL It meant so much to see you. I'll update you all more later. It's been a half hour and time for me to eat. Food and lots of water going down very, very well. More soon! Kent

I am glad you are home and doing so well. You did look good in the hospital. Do you ever have "down" moments, you always seem to be in such great spirits. Sorry you didnt have the best roommate. I did, they were me, myself and I. Oh yeah, and hub. Keep up drinking tha****er, I really think it is key to a quicker recovery. Hugsss Theresa

Hi Kent: I was not up for visitors at all when I was in the hospital Dec. 4-6, so I never visit anyone. I also had a roomate--poor thing. When folks visited her--they brought food and all I could hear was the chomping of food and the smell--geez--I wanted to get out of the hospital so much. Anyway--welcome to the losers side. I'm gald things are going so well--just take it a day at a time and before you know it, you'll feel great. I am down 56 pounds, eat anything I want(within reason of course--no sugar or caffeine--no soda) and go to the gym three times a week and just feel wonderful. The process goes by quickly--believe it or not. And, I too could only do so much at the computer for awhile. Just happy it is over for you--the surgery--now the work begins, one day at a time--no gulping or fast eating and you'll be fine. Take care and stay in touch. Jane from Bangor

Hi Kent, Glad to see that you are home and doing well. I planned on coming to visit on Friday, but was not feeling to well. And then I didn't want to bring the girls with me to the hospital on the weekend. I hope to see you at the next meeting. Take care, Heather

Hi! Glad to hear you are home and on the mend. Time really does go quickly. You will be up and attum in no time. I too had quite the roommate experience. I ended up doing alot of walking until a nurse noticed I was uncomfortable in my room and then I was able to switch. sigh. like you said all water under the dam. Keep up the good work. Val
