I am feeling weak all over..Is it protein?
All day Saturday and into the night I felt weak. I did feel normal after eating some "Wendy's Grilled chicken breast fillet" at 5 pm. It is now 12.00 am Sunday and I am eating some "Blue Bunny Carb Freedom "Yogurt sold at Wal-mart. What are your answers? I have been trying to get my Unjury down but my stomach doesn't like it lately. My stomach and all feels yuky after drinking a cup mixed with 2% milk.
Any chance of a heart attack because of loss of muscle?
Ron,
I'm not a nurse or doctor, but I do work in the hospital as a lab technician and see many people come in with heart attacks. I would guess that before your body causes damage to your heart muscle due to muscle loss, you would be seeing a great deal of muscle loss in the rest of your body first. However if you are feeling any discomfort in your back, jaw, neck or arms or even just a heaviness in you chest or stomach, I would go have it checked out.
As for not feeling well in general, I wonder if it is your body adjusting to the decrease of protein as you are a month out of surgery? Just a thought, I too am just a month or so out and am not as experienced with everything going on as others may be but..........I really think our bodies go through quite an adjustment period as we lose weight and the quicker we lose the more adjustments we go through. If you are not feeling well in a few days, see your dr. just to make sure everything is ok.
Have you tried mixing unjury in your yogurt or in juice instead of milk? Maybe the milk is just sitting too heavy on your stomach right now. just a thought.
keep us posted as to how you are doing.

Hello Ron: I am new to this whole process and have just had one visit with Dr. Cobean and his team and been to one support meeting but wanted to tell you Dr. Cobean's team told me I would have to be using 1% milk, not 2%. Could the milk have been too rich for you? Also: Are you allergic to soy? I have used soy milk (I found this in Shaw's) blended with some fruit and Nutrasweet to make a smoothie in the past and wonder if the soy milk would be easier to digest for you? I really feel you should call your surgeon's office first thing and be checked out by them as they will know a lot more than I do but thought the information I've given you might be of help. Good luck! Dot
I have used the 2% milk with the Unjury and do not like it near as much as with skim milk. In fact I started out using 6 ounces of skim to one scoop, not I mix it with 8 to 10 ounces.
Just do the best you can, you might want to try basically liquids for a bit, that might help. Another thing I found I could not do for maybe the first 2 months was have anything really cold. In fact I have just now started to try fat free fudgicles and be able to eat them. Cold made me ache and did not settle in my pet pouch well.
If you have any thoughts you are having a heart attack please go to the ER. Chances are you are not, but do not take any chances. Better to know for sure then sit there and worry.
Please let us know when you are feeling better.
Hugsss

Ron, just wanted to add here that some people become lactose intolerant after WLS as well, because lactose is a form of sugar. You already mentioned that you suspect it could be your chewing/eating.. but if you happen to notice you get problems with dairy, you might keep this in mind.
Also I wanted to tell you that it took me WEEKS to learn how to eat and drink again.
I always feel weak and crappy when I eat something with too much fruit sugar.
Hi Ron, Sorry to hear of you not feeling well. I get weak if I have not eaten enough protein. The best thing you can do is contact Dana or your dietician, & let them know of the problems you are experiencing. It is much better than going on what others have experienced. You may have something else that may need attending too, that we have not experienced. Your too valuable a person to go on the experiences of others, contact your dietician & let us know what happens.
My prayers are with you, Hugs,
Cindy K.
