I am 34 years old. I weigh 395 and am only about 6 foot tall. I have diabetes, edema, arthritis. Have been 2 weeks now trying to get rid of edema. Am on lasix. Have had vein dopler, liver and kidney tests, all ok. I am having an echo cardio graph on tuesday. Hope all goes all right. Told my doctor to start the ball rolling on lap band surgery option. He brought it up about 1 month ago. I am sick of being tired all the time. I am only working 4 hours a day now , five days a week. Can't wait of rhte surgery which i hope can be done by end of May. Have Mainecare. Any things I could have my doctor right up for tests to help out the emmc doctors. I have had a sleep lab at emmc and have been using my cpap since 12/31/2003.
Have been heavy all my life but have just gone highger and higher since a car accident in 12/2002, broken right femur. Thats all healed up now. Desperatley need this surgery to save my life. I know this now. My docotr is right. Just need to vent and ask a few questions. Thanks for listening. tony
