Today I meet my surgeon!

I am very nervous about this meeting. I dont know what to ask him, I dont know what to expect. I do know that if I dont get accepted for this surgery I will be heart broken. All I ever wanted was to be healthy and not over weight. Now that I have a child, I want that more than ever. Can anyone tell me how to calm my nerves and what questions I should bring with me today to ask? Thanks!

Don't be so worried. He deals with this thing a lot, knows people are worried and nervous. If he is a good doctor he will calm your worries. Ask him things about the after care program, how much he expects you to lose, if you have co-morbs ask him if he thinks they might cause you problems and if he thinks they will go away after you lose weight. Once you ask one question lots of others will pop into your mind. Good luck, let us know how it goes. Theresa
