I love you ALL!
Thank you for taking the time to reach out to me yesterday. I just read the post and it almost shocks me that I felt that crummy. Not often I get like that, winter just plain STINKS!
You all are the best and I hope some day I meet each and everyone of you!
Kelly and I have been talking about trying to get something together for a pinic in Bangor this summer. I do hope everyone in the state will come not just those of us that had surgery at EMMC.
Have a wonderful day!
love to you all,
Theresa
Theresa,
Take all of what we said to you yesterday right in. You deserve it. It seems we all have leaned on you for so long for everything. Yestereday was your turn to be on the recieving end!!
About the picnic. I love the idea and will do what I can to be involved in the planning. Some of the members in Bangor could pick a great place to do it. Right across from EMMC is a park and I want to say it is Cascade park but I am not sure of the name. It is a beautiful park. I am sure there are so many more in the area. Maybe there are a few where the kids could have fun.
Bangor is a great location for this because it is in the middle for about everyone.
Planning early is great. We could turn this into something big if we set our mind to it.
Theresa, I have a question. I have read posts about conventions all over and I know this isn't actually a convention, but does OH help to sponser anything like this? A few t-shirts or OH products would be nice to have for a drawing of some kind. Or even sell tickets at the time of the picnic? I don't know, it is just a far fetched idea. Once my mind gets going it is hard for me to stop it.. LOL. Well I am off to my PCP for my yearly physical. Those damn scales better have moved!!!!!!!! he he
Have a great day.. Kell
So far the picnic sounds like a plan. Now it is to find a location and a date. I am sooo into this type of thing. And Lynda will be back from Sunny Florida!! I think if we posted with picnic as the subject, we may get more responses. My sister who lives in Bangor (and is not a biariatric patient) has told me to let her know if there is anything she can do to help also. My family has been pretty supportive but this sister has been right into it. She qualified for surgery but is losing it on her own. She is doing great. She gains and loses. I hope she can keep it off. She even asks me about foods I eat and she sort of eats like she would if she had surgery.
Potluck sounds great. I usually will go spend days at a time with my sister so I will most likely make a week out of being in Bangor, or a long weekend.
I love Bangor and we almost moved there when we came home from Florida, but decided to come all the way back home. My mom doesnt feel good these days and I wanted to be close to her.
This is wonderful.. I am excited!!!!!!
