Hi Everyone, Just was wondering anyone could help me out. I have been feeling extremely nauseated for 5 days now and I feel kind of weak also. I called Dr. Clough's office yesterday morning and he ordered some blood work.I went and had the blood work and it showed nothing. I really thought that I was dehydrated, but I guess not. I haven't eaten hardly anything and am having a very hard time drinking anything. I feel like when anything hits my mouth it's going to come right back up. I've had the dry heaves since last night and the diarrhea everytime that I try to eat something. I try to push myself to eat and drink but just can't do it. Just looking for some suggestions. Thanks, Michelle

Hi Michelle, I am so sorry to hear you have been having a rough time. Would it be possible to call Dr. Clough and ask about an anti-nausea prescription? I have heard others talk about this at meetings. I wouldn't worry about not being able to get much/anything to eat. For about the first three months all I had was about 2 spoons of anything. I remember Clough saying don't eat if you're not hungry. So I didn't and I have lost all the weight I had to lose in just 8 months. Just get as much to drink as you can and try food at different times of the day. Try warm drinks sometimes and then cold other times. Like broth, tea, NSA hot cocoa, crystal lite, cold tea, etc. Goodluck and let us know how you are doing. Casey

Hi Michelle, I hope you're feeling a little better! I know from experience that when I am on strict proteins, little of anything else....I get really nauseated. I believe it's due to the body burning fat at such a rapid state, also known as ketosis. It's unfortunate when this happens, I hate the nausea, so I try to add a little variety to my diet. When I was a newer post-op I did take the anti-nausea med and it helped. I'm not at all sure if this is happening to you but just thought I'd offer my experience... Let us know how you're feeling! What she said (Lauren). I am 6 months out and every few weeks I go through a few days of just not being interested in food. So I snack on yogurt and soup which are the lazy easy foods that I love the most. Hang in there...
