Fun Meeting

Hi all, Yesterday's support group meeting was fun! We missed you all and understand that the weather forecast was bad to worse. Rosie led the group that consisted of Steve (surgery in 4 days) and his daughter, Cindy (post-op), Ray (there as support for me), and yours truly (scheduled for March 4th). It was a very personal and informative meeting. We were able to discuss some topics to great length and detail. Cindy! You were very helpful. Thanks for sharing your insights. I also love your "wicked" sense of humor. LOL Casey! I've been funking along this month, too. Excited and nervous all at the same time and wanting to be as prepared as possible at home and work. I often don't answer a lot of posts, because I haven't been there yet. My "pre-op" silences will soon be replaced with "post-op" observations (as soon as I can sit at the keyboard). Ron! You're a nutcase! And family. And you help me so much! Thanks. Theresa! Everyones' Angel...with a capital A! Everyone else. What a support network. Know we're all in this together. Hi Kent, It was great seeing you at the meeting. I did enjoy the small group, it seemed we covered alot more questions in more details than any other meeting. I'm glad you get a charge out of my humor, I won't change it ....Adds a bit of levity, and makes me smile See you soon on the losing side! Cindy

Hi Kent, Sounds like you guys had a nice time. Too bad I wasn't there, I love a small group especially with you! I will plan on the next Friday group though... Hi Kent, I wish that I could have made it to the meeting.. I had actually planned on going, but something that I had for lunch did not agree with me Fun, fun.. I would have loved to see Cindy. She is such an inspiration. Praying for you for a smooth surgery and recovery. Take care, ~Heather

Hi Kent, I was so sorry to miss Saturday's meeting as my surgery is coming up March 11th. There is a group that Wednesday before and I'll be there because I am going to stay in Bangor that night. NOTHING will keep me away that morning. No excuses if I am in the Riverside next door! I am getting both excited as well as scared too. After I got my date I started saying "goodbye" to some foods and gained five pounds. I have lost 2 and am working on getting the other three off before the 11th. I have been told if you have gained between your initial surgeon visit and checking in for surgery they are not pleased. Take of yourself this week. It will be over before you know it. Linda
