I saw Dayna and Dr. Clough yesterday. I only lost 5 pounds since I saw Lynn on the 28th of Jan. I know what you all are going to say... 5 pounds is better then nothing, and yes it is certainly better then a gain. I had tried smaller pants on that fit me and I really expected more. Now Dayna tells me to add carbs.. I am not ready for that just yet and I want to hold off. We went through a day of eating for me and she said it sounds like I am pretty much getting in my protien. I am just about at the required liquid intake for a day. I am NOT eating anything I am not suppose to. I just can't figure it out. I felt I had more of a loss then that. For the 3 hour ride home, I barely spoke to hubby. Just kept thinking of what I could have done wrong. This morning I am back to ME and ready to tackle this thing. My nephew is getting married in June and I want to have a lot of this weight off. Could I have hit a plateau this early? I didn't weigh at all since I saw Lynn on the 28th.. OHHHHHH I JUST DONT KNOW!!!!!! Lauren and Michelle how did you guys do yesterday with your appts?? Kell

Good morning Kelly! I just wanted to share my experience with you. My first month I lost 31 pounds, but the second, only 8. I was very upset, but the Dr. explained that your body needs to adjust to the weight loss, but will kick back in when it is ready. Don't worry, you sound like you are doing everything correctly, and the weight loss will come! Wishing you the best of luck!

Thanks for your reply Denise. I know I shouldn't have been upset, I just expected more for some reason. It is times like this that makes me realize just how important this group is to me. I don't know what I would do without you all.!!!!!!!!!!! Kell

Hey! How's your "behind"?!? Are you still on your exercise bike??!?! I understand your troubles! My visits went well. Dayna says I'm right where she expects me....which makes up for my first visit with her (I was a bit behind). I even gained a pound of muscle, amazing. I think it's just your body, adjusting. I've seen it with myself as well. You look terrific and you're feeling better, getting into smaller clothes, and your attitude.......is it ever negative?!?! Look at the "whole" of your success!! You're doing wonderful. Don't worry! The scale will catch up! I'm schedule for the same time in April, we can drive down together. OK?! Dr. Clough always tells me he has "great expectations" for me...hhhmmmm....makes me a little nervous. I'm thinking he tells this to his patients as a motivation thing?!?!? Anyways......"Don't worry, about a thing...cause every little thing is gonna be alright...." sing it with me!!

He never said he had high expectations for me. He did say at my 6 month that that I had gone further at that point then he had expected. Does this mean he didnt have high expectations for me? I wish I lived closer to you!!! Theresa

You are doing fine, I bet it is like Lauren said, your body is just adjusting to everything. Did Dayna seem that concerned? Did Dr Clough? Don't worry, be happy, spring is getting closer and you ARE getting thinner and healthier. Hang in there! Theresa

Hi Kelley, Sorry to hear you are in a bit of a slow time. It happens...maybe it's related to girl stuff? Something that might help is stepping up whatever your exercise program is? I think you're doing great anyway so don't let it get you down! Casey
