Hi everyone. I posted this on the main board , but thought I would ask my fellow Mainers. My surgeon's office was submitting everything to my insurance 3 weeks ago........and still I haven't heard anything. How long did you have to wait for approval/denial? I'm getting a little impatient!! Thanks for listening. Tracee

Tracee, Call your insurance co. and ask. I am glad I did because there was a mix-up between them and Dr. Clough's office. Just some miss-communication I guess. I can't imagine me waiting 3 weeks. I started calling my insurance after about 1 1/2 weeks. Take Care, Kell

Hi Tracee! Wow, Kell, a week and a half such restraint. I started calling my insurance company 2 days later and every day following! I am a bit of an impatient person though. Kell is right though, Insurance companies have 30 days to approve/deny but they lose information ALOT!! I have been denied 3 times and each time there was at least a 1 week dely because my paperwork had been lost by CIGNA. Who is your insurance?? Good Luck, keep us updated. Sam

Dear Tracee: Mine was sent to the insurance company on December 31st of last year and I had the approval letter on January 6th. I thought that was pretty good given the holidays but I also called them almost daily. I figured that they would approve it so they wouldn't have to hear from me anymore. It worked. Mary-Anne

I was really lucky i new within a week and a half they were very quick in approving me but i know not all the companies are like that. I would suggest you call the company you have every right to know the status don't let them give you the run around alot of the companies do. If they still give you greif have your doc call they know hoe to demand info quick. Melissa
