Oh have I been bad
I have a new theme song, to the dump to the dump to the dump dump dump!
Yup I have experenced the dreaded dumping. What a wonderful exercise.
For a couple of minutes I forgot I wasn't hitched up to my body normally and decided I was going to have some pizza rolls for dinner. Bad mistake, no doubt about it.
I have a quarter size hole in the incision line that really didn't like the retching very much. Wish the thing would heal! I really don't like looking into my abdomin. Anyone else have that problem?
Gotta go, my chair is calling me.
Take care all you losers and soon to be.
Linda
Hi Linda, I did the same thing after I felt "normal" I figured as long as I don't eat the outside fried part of the eggroll I would be ok....wrong! First the hot and cold sweats, then the shakes, then that fist sized ball in the center of my chest. Thought I would be better if I laid down...WRONG! One bite went in & blurp, one bite came back out. It was the worst 45 minutes! But I still try different things...never the egg roll again! The most recent was a bite of canned corn....urgh...instantly started the 45 minute ritual! So canned corn is forever gone from my menu.
Take care,
Cindy
I had some foods that I had a lot of trouble with for the first three months post-op that I can eat now. I found that I had a really really hard time with "roughage" - not that I eat much of it even now - but I can't get enough of apples and green peppers now and I couldn't get through even a bite of them before. Your body will probably be adjusting for quite a while and you might try some of these foods later on down the road and be perfectly OK. Some foods you've been fine on all along might start giving you trouble later. For example, I am 5.5 months out and all of a sudden I can't stomach milk. I get really sick, kinda dumpy feeling and nauseous, and I have had to switch to lactaid. Just wanted to share my experiences so you don't think you have to swear off certain foods forever - sometimes it's a temporary thing.
