Updated Photo

WOOOHOOO! My latest and greatest photo has finally been updated! I went to see Heather today...previous posting. I even saw some of my nurses from when I went in. They didn't recognize me, until I showed them a before pic! They really do enjoy seeing us again! While there, a lady from another area had the surgery yesterday, & was upset because they do not have support meetings in her area. She had been talking to the nurse earlier and wished she could talk to someone that had been through the surgery. When the nurse approached me, and asked if I had a few minutes to spend with her, it was great! Talking with her helped her to see what is possible. It was a great feeling to have helped someone feel better about having the surgery. The lady and I have exchanged emails, & I have encourgaged her to sign up on this wonderful site, that she would find a great bunch of people that are always here for support. Thanks everyone, Cindy

Beautiful photo, I would not have recognized you! If that lady is anywhere near Bangor I hope she goes to "our" support group meetings. I think it is so sad how many people are lost because they do not have a support group. If I did not have this site I would try to get to Bangor more often, I just could not do it without you all. Thanks Theresa, I wish she were in the area but she is from around Houlton area. We exchanged email addresses so at least she can reach someone who has "been there". I told her about this site, & she said she would look into it. This is a fantastic place to get helpful news. By the way, I would never have recognized you either! You are looking terrific!
