A very exciting and happy day

Hi Everyone, Visiting Ron at the hospital was like a mini-support group meeting! He is doing great, and I am very proud of him. He is walking a lot. Despite his challenge with the mechanical bed (almost landed on the floor), his spirits are high and his sense of humor kept us all smiling. It was great to see Heather and Michelle there with their daughters. It was inspiring to see how great Ron looked one day after surgery. It was (and is) also very exciting to share the news that my insurance appeal was filed on Monday and approved today! Dr. Clough's office called me. Ron wasn't the only one who almost landed on the floor today! I was so happy that I could hardly concentrate on the computer class I was taking (PowerPoint). Thanks everyone for your support that means so much! Now....I wait for my date! I'll be thinking of you on Friday, Heather! Kent

I knew you would be approved, anthem is a good insurance company to have if you want gastric bypass surgery. Way to go!!! you will be on the lossing side before you know it.

Kent I am so glad you got approved! And Ron did look extremely chipper for just having had major surgery. We had so many people in that room no one could move around very much. It was warming to see that Ron has so many of us supporting him! I am going up again tonight, got to get him that chapstick I promised. Heather, You will do fine! My prayers go with you! CONGRATULATIONS KENT!!!! I am so happy that the appeal went through for you ! You are now over half way to the losing side of life!!!! I am glad to hear that Ron is also doing well after his surgery. I can't to see him through his journey at the support group meetings . It is always so fantastic to see the changes that people make after this amazing procedure is done.
